so a part of me doesn’t want to ponder on the possibility of thirteen having dysphoria, because she’s, you know and ALIEN and is surely beyond anything like that, because regenerating into a woman is just a thing that happens with gallifreyans
but at the same time i think about the argument that i and many other trans individuals use when explaining/defending our identity, which is “if you’ve been a man since the beginning but suddenly woke up one day and you were a woman, wouldn’t that feel wrong? that’s how we feel”
the doctor is a superior time lord yada yada yada but is still a PERSON. i really do wonder in the depths of thirteen’s crazy mind if she’s ever uncomfortable or out of place feeling, because she was a man for thousands of years and is suddenly a woman
