i’ve always played really fast just because i love fast songs. when i used to take piano lessons my teacher would always have to get onto me about it because i would play songs wayyy faster than they’re meant to be played, practice them too fast, and then eventually ONLY be able to play it that fast bc if i tried to slow it down i would mess up too much

i can’t play that fast anymore because when i moved out of my parents house i didn’t get to take my piano, and i have a keyboard but the keys have zero resistance. when i try to play fast my fingers trip over each other lol.

if you want to play faster though just be sure your technique is really good and strong, and don’t try to speed up a song until you can play it perfectly at normal/slow speed. (i need to take my own advice there tbh) but if the notes aren’t engrained in your muscle memory and if your technique isn’t strong then it’ll be a lot harder to go fast without messing up
